Punjab: Agniveer was cremated with full respect

Punjab: The body of Agniveer Akashdeep Singh (21) was brought to his native village Chahal near Faridkot where he was cremated with full military honours on Friday. The jawan had sacrificed his life while performing his duty in Jammu on Thursday morning. Akashdeep Singh had joined the Army two years ago under the Agneepath scheme. He had returned to duty on April 17 after a short leave. Two jawans lost their lives in the incident. The other jawan was from Amritsar district. The relatives of the deceased and locals gathered for the last rites and expressed condolences to the family.
