Punjab: Case registered against three youths for raping a minor
Punjab: Three youths abducted and allegedly gang-raped a 13-year-old girl in Sadulshahar area of Sri Ganganagar yesterday evening. A case of abduction and gang-rape has been registered against Suraj, Raju alias Raj Kumar Bawari and Navjot Singh Monu of Khairuwala, located 32 km from here.
Police sources said the girl had gone to a shop to buy some items yesterday evening when the suspects forcibly took her out of the village in their car. When the girl did not return home for a long time, the family began looking for her. Sources said when the suspects came to drop the girl back to the village after about two hours, the search team surrounded them. They managed to escape leaving the girl there. DSP (rural) Anupam Mishra is investigating the incident. Police have conducted a check-up of the girl.
