Punjab: DSP found dead on the banks of the canal, investigation continues
Jalandhar: A top police officer was found dead in Punjab’s Jalandhar district, officials said on Tuesday. Police said that the body of Dalbir Singh, who was working as Deputy Superintendent of Police in the district, was recovered from the Basti Bawa Khel Canal on the intervening night of December 31 and January 1.
Balwinder Singh Randhawa, A-DCP- “There is a mark of external injury on the head of the body. “We are examining CCTV footage from nearby areas, which we believe will shed some light on the cause of death.” 1, Jalandhar, told ANI on Tuesday.
