Punjab FC signs French midfielder Madih Talal
Mohali (IANS). Punjab FC on Saturday announced the signing of French midfielder Madih Talal for the 2023-24 season. The 25-year-old midfielder joined Punjab FC after helping his former club AE Kifissia FC earn promotion to the Greek Super League for the first time in the club’s history.
Speaking about the signing, Nikolaos Topoliatis, Technical Director, Punjab FC said, “We are delighted to have such an exciting and young player in our midst. Talal brings great dynamism to our midfield and will help the team in a big way with his attacking ability. We look forward to seeing him in action and are confident that he will play a key role in the upcoming season.”
Paris-born midfielder Talal began his career in France with the Angers SCO reserves team and then moved to Amiens SC before joining Entente SSG for the 2018–19 season where he scored nine goals.
He then went on to play for Las Rojas CF in Spain, Red Star FC in France and the US Avranches before joining AE Kifisia FC in Greece.
During the previous season, the attacking midfielder, known for his playmaking skills, was instrumental in his former team’s historic promotion to the first division of Greek football.
Talal has become the fourth foreign player in Punjab FC’s roster and will be a key member of Stychos’ squad for the coming season.
