Punjab: Dubai-based groom Deepak Kumar and his 150 baraatis got a shock upon reaching Moga for the wedding when they found out that the bride and her family were nowhere to be found. According to sources, the wedding was entirely fixed through social media. Kumar revealed that he was in touch with the bride on Instagram for the past three years but they never met in person. Kumar said that his father had also spoken to the bride’s father over the phone. He and his family were asked to reach Lohara Chowk in Moga on Friday afternoon. They were told that a marriage palace has been booked near Geeta Bhawan in Moga. However when they reached the venue, they found neither a marriage palace nor the bride. The bride had also allegedly taken Rs 70,000 from Kumar in the name of wedding expenses. Police officer Harjinder Singh said that they have started investigating the matter and the search for the missing bride is on.
