Punjab: Preneet criticises Mann for slow procurement

Punjab: Days after senior BJP leader and former chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh visited the Khanna grain market, his wife and former MP Preneet Kaur today visited the grain market on Sirhind Road. Taking a dig at the AAP government, she said the Centre had released funds for procurement in September but the AAP dispensation “did not take any measures to deal with the impending storage crisis”. She alleged that the CM Bhagwant Mann-led government allowed the situation to deteriorate even after knowing that there would be a bumper paddy crop. She said a delegation of BJP leaders met Governor Gulab Chand Kataria on Sunday and submitted a memorandum alleging inefficiency on the part of the AAP government in procurement and lifting.
