Punjab: Two arrested with stolen motorcycle
Punjab: Jalandhar Commissionerate Police led by Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma arrested two persons involved in criminal activities and recovered a stolen motorcycle from their possession. Commissioner Sharma revealed that the police had received information about two habitual criminals planning a major heist in the city. A police team laid a naka at Baba Budha Ji bridge.
During the operation, the officers intercepted Harish Kumar, resident of Balmiki Mohalla, Basti Guzan and Deepak, resident of Dhuma Wali Gali, near Phool Wala, Jalandhar. During interrogation, the suspects confessed to committing several crimes in the city. Further investigation led to the recovery of the stolen motorcycle. An FIR has been registered under Section 304 (2) and 3 (5) of the BNS at Police Station, Basti Bawa Khel. Commissioner Sharma said that further investigation is underway in the case and more details will be revealed soon.
