Punjab: Woman dies in bus accident, mother-in-law injured

Punjab: A tragic incident took place on the canal bridge of bypass here when a private bus hit a scooter, killing a 30-year-old woman and injuring her 50-year-old mother-in-law. The deceased has been identified as Vimal, who was riding a scooter along with her mother-in-law Parmeshwari Devi of Dhani Dada Nirania. As they reached the Malukpura canal bridge, a bus coming from behind allegedly hit their scooter. Vimal died instantly while Parmeshwari Devi was seriously injured. After initial treatment at a local hospital, Parmeshwari Devi was referred to Bathinda for further medical care. The body of the deceased was sent to the civil hospital mortuary for post-mortem.
