Punjab: Youth dies in custody

Punjab: Bhinder Singh’s family today accused CIA staff of allegedly beating him to death in custody. Bhinder’s sister-in-law Sandeep Kaur on Thursday said that CIA staff had taken him into custody. She claimed that the police told them that Bhinder had jumped into a lake near the thermal plant. Bathinda SSP Amneet Kondal said, “I have handed over the investigation to SP (D). We will conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.”
