She was on her way to Birmingham via Dubai to participate in the All England Open. However, after reaching Dubai, her flights were canceled due to the war, so she had to stay there with her coach and team. She explained the situation in Dubai through her social media to this extent. “The situation in Dubai is tough. It is getting more and more worrying by the hour. There was an explosion a short while ago near where we were at the airport. We ran from there, including the coach. When the explosive debris fell near the coach, smoke rose. This is a very scary and worrying situation for us. We and our team are safe. The authorities have moved us to a safe place at the airport.
“Thank you to the authorities and the embassy for responding so quickly in such difficult circumstances. For now, we will take some rest and wait until the situation improves,” Sindhu said. Before this, Sindhu shared some visuals from there on her social media account. The tournament in which Sindhu was to participate was supposed to start from Tuesday. Services at the Dubai airport were also suspended in the wake of Iran’s attack on the airport. Flights were canceled.
