Rahul and Stalin will not campaign on the same platform: DMK

Tamil Nadu: DMK Organizing Secretary R.S. Bharathi said that due to Chief Minister M.K. Stalin’s planned campaign tour, there is no possibility of Lok Sabha Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin campaigning on the same platform.

He told reporters at Anna Arivalayam in Chennai on Friday: “With just a few days left for the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, support for the DMK alliance parties is high. We have complained to the Election Commission about the BJP going door-to-door and collecting information, including voter ID numbers, to distribute sample checks of ₹10,000. But no action has been taken yet.” He said the Election Commission is acting as the BJP’s B-team.

When asked about K. Annamalai’s statement that “Rahul Gandhi wants the DMK alliance to lose in Tamil Nadu, so he will not come to Tamil Nadu to campaign,” Stalin said, “Rahul Gandhi is campaigning on one side. The Chief Minister is campaigning on the other. There is no time for both of them to campaign together.” If the Chief Minister’s travel plan is changed now, it will affect the campaigning in 40 constituencies.
