Railway Police’s ‘Nanhe Farishte’ campaign, safe return of 261 children
Raipur. Railway Protection Force, South East Central Railway is discharging its social responsibilities along with the safety of railway passengers and railway property with topmost priority. Along with dutifully providing assistance to the needy passengers, the Railway Protection Force is also running a continuous campaign for their convenience and safety while paying special attention to women and children.
In this series, the Railway Protection Force, South East Central Railway, while efficiently discharging its responsibilities, has rescued 261 runaways and those separated from their families under “Operation Nanhe Farishte” under the jurisdiction of South East Central Railway till the month of November 2023. Minor children, which included 148 boys and 113 girls, were rescued at various stations/trains and handed over to NGOs and their parents.
South East Central Railway, Security Force personnel are diligently performing their duties round the clock with the aim of vigilance, security and service and are discharging their social responsibilities with a spirit of service. These works being done by the Railway Protection Force are continuously receiving very positive and encouraging response from the public. Along with this, quick assistance is provided to the passengers through the 24-hour security helpline and women’s helpline running in the Railway Protection Force control room. Is . Special attention is being paid to the safety of women passengers by deployment of women RPF staff at railway stations/trains. To ensure the safety of passengers, vulnerable trains running at night are being escorted by RPF personnel. A strict vigil is being maintained on the activities of criminals involved in theft of passenger luggage, drug abuse, pickpocketing and other heinous crimes like theft, dacoity etc. by deployment of adequate number of Decoy Task Force teams in vulnerable trains/sections.
The morale of Railway Protection Force officers and staff of South East Central Railway is very high and they are committed and dedicated towards the objectives of Railway Protection Force of ensuring proper security of railway passengers, passenger premises and Railway property.
