Raipur Breaking: Inter-state smuggler from Odisha arrested with ganja

Under the special campaign being run against drug abuse by Senior Superintendent of Police Lal Umed Singh, an 11-member Anti Narcotics Task Force team has been formed under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police Crime Raipur to control and prevent smuggling, purchase-sale of banned narcotic tablets and syrups and dry drugs including illegal banned drugs. In which the said team has been directed to take effective action on end to end and financial investigation, source point, destination point, including taking detailed information about the source and taking legal action against them. In this connection, on 02.01.25, the Anti Narcotics Task Force received information that a person riding in Eco vehicle number CG/04/MR/6933 in Bengali street located in Dubey Colony Mowa under Thana Pandri area has kept ganja in the vehicle.
He is trying to sell it. On which, under the direction of senior officers, a joint team of Anti Narcotics Task Force, Anti Crime and Cyber Unit and Police Station Pandari went to the said place and identified the vehicle and the person of the description given by the informer and caught them. During interrogation, the person told his name to be Mohan Nayak. When the team members searched the vehicle, ganja was found kept in the vehicle. On which the accused Mohan Nayak was arrested and 10.900 kg ganja and Eco vehicle used in the incident, number CG/04/MR/6933, worth about Rs 5,00,000/- were seized from his possession and action was taken by registering a crime number 03/25 under section 20B of Narcotics Act against the accused in Police Station Pandari. Another accused involved in the case is absconding, every possible effort is being made to trace and arrest him. Arrested accused – Mohan Nayak father Hiralal Nayak age 33 years resident of village Dudki Dadar Godpara police station Jharband district Bargarh Odisha. Present address – Dubey Colony near Sai Temple Mowa police station Pandri Raipur.
