Raipur: Fraud of Rs 48 lakh, case registered at Tikrapara police station
Raipur. In the Tikrapara police station area of Raipur, Anamika Vaishnav was duped of Rs 48 lakh in the name of getting her a house. The fraudster had trapped the woman in his trap by promising to return the amount double in case the house was not provided to her within one and a half months. The police have registered a case. The victim woman Anamika Vaishnav has registered a case against Rakesh Mandal, director of Ashni Homes Private Limited, his wife and others.
Anamika has told the police that Rakesh has an office in Lalpur. She contacted Rakesh last year through her acquaintance. Rakesh told Anamika that his company was authorized by the RDA and lured her into getting a flat in Kamal Vihar. He also gave money for the agreement. Suspecting fraud, Anamika contacted the RDA and got information that Rakesh had deposited only Rs 1 lakh. According to Anamika, Rakesh has similarly duped a woman named Archana Gupta of Rs 15 lakh by promising to get her a house.
Anamika told the police that Rakesh’s wife Sarita had filed a false complaint against him in the police station to settle the matter in court. Rakesh had cheated her by showing her forged documents and photos of the house and trapped her in his trap.
