Raipur: Ganja smuggler arrested near college
Arang: Police has arrested accused Arvind Sahu with 7 kg of ganja. The informer had informed that a person had ganja with him near College Chowk under Arang police station area and was planning to go somewhere. On which Additional Superintendent of Police Rural Neeraj Chandrakar, Additional Superintendent of Police Crime Patel, City Superintendent of Police Mana Kalpana Verma and Deputy Superintendent of Police Crime Dinesh Sinha verified the information to Anti Crime and Cyber Unit in-charge and Police Station Incharge Arang and colored the accused with ganja. Instructed to hold hands.
During interrogation, the person revealed his name to be Arvind Sahu, resident of Kabirdham. When the team members searched the sack kept with him, it was found that ganja was kept in the sack. On which the accused Arvind Sahu was arrested and a total of 07 kg 676 grams of Ganja worth approximately Rs 80,000/- was seized from his possession and action was taken against the accused by registering crime number 669/2023 under Section 20B Narcotics Act in Police Station Arang.
