Raipur police checking restaurants, cafes and clubs, gave these instructions
Raipur. Under “Hello Zindagi”, a comprehensive public awareness campaign against drugs by Raipur Police, Senior Superintendent of Police Prashant Agarwal has directed for surprise checking of restaurants, cafes, clubs, dhabas and hotels, as well as closure of restaurants, cafes, clubs, dhabas and hotels within a stipulated time period.
Under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police City/Crime Abhishek Maheshwari, on the night of 23.07.23 Mayank Gurjar (I.P.S.) City Superintendent of Police Azad Chowk, Dinesh Sinha Deputy Superintendent of Police, Manoj Kumar Dhruv City Superintendent of Police Civil Line, Avinash Mishra City Superintendent of Police Urla, Jitendra Chandrakar City Superintendent of Police Atal Nagar Nava Raipur, Suresh Dhruv Nagar Superintendent of Police Old Basti , Lalita Mehar Deputy Superintendent of Police I.U.C.A.W. And under the leadership of Kalpana Verma Nagar Superintendent of Police Mana, Inspector Girish Tiwari and Inspector Gaurav Tiwari, in-charge of Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit, along with other officers of Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit. A total of 08 separate teams of Titos Club Raipura DD Nagar, Florence Club V.P. Road Telibandha, Juke Club V V V V V V V Road Telibandha, EDL Hotel and Restaurant Pandari, FTB Hotel and Restaurant Whee Hotel and Restaurant V.I.P. Contingency checking was done in D Club PTS Chowk Mana.
During the checking, the officers of the police team advised the restaurant, cafe and club operators not to secretly serve hookah, not to sell liquor illegally and not to make people sit and drink alcohol and to close the restaurant, cafe and club within the prescribed time period. During this, action has been taken against 2 people under COTPA act due to seizure of electric cigarette from them, as well as correspondence has been made to take action against Excise Department for violating license rules in Tittos bar.
