Raipur woman was helping Naxalites, ATS arrested her
Raipur: ATS on Wednesday arrested husband and wife involved in Naxalite activities from different places. One accused, Brijesh Kushwaha, was caught from his home district Deoria and his wife Prabha Kushwaha from Raipur (Chhattisgarh). Prabha is being brought to Lucknow on transit remand.
The names of both came to light during the investigation of a case registered in 2019. Recently, ATS was receiving intelligence information regarding the activities of urban Naxalites. Brijesh and his wife were arrested after authentic evidence was found.
Brijesh is originally a resident of Badki Rabdi village located in Barhaj police station area of Deoria and he received his primary education from there. While studying MA in Sanskrit from Gorakhpur, he had joined Inquilabi Chhatra Sabha. He met Prabha from Raipur in 2006 while working in Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh). Then in the year 2010, both of them got married. After marriage, Brijesh and his wife Prabha started supporting leftist ideology by joining Mazdoor Kisan Ekta Manch and Savitribai Phule Sangharsh Samiti. According to ATS, under the guise of leftist ideology, both of them started getting involved in anti-national activities.
