Raj Bhavan petrol bomb attack: Vinod booked under 5 sections
CHENNAI: A day after Molotov cocktail (petrol bomb) was thrown at Raj Bhavan in Guindy, five sections have been invoked against alleged criminal ‘Karukka’ Vinod in an FIR.
Tension prevailed outside the residence of Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi on Wednesday when a man threw a Molotov cocktail outside the Raj Bhavan gate on Sardar Patel Road, causing panic among the security personnel.
Police sources said Vinod raised slogans against the Governor for not signing the NEET ban bill. The report says that Vinod is accused of damaging the government office and obstructing the work of government employees.
Soon after the blast, Vinod was arrested and sent to 15-day judicial custody. Police recovered two more petrol bombs from him.
