Raja Vading targets CM Bhagwant Mann over deaths due to drinking spurious liquor in Punjab
Sangrur: Punjab Congress President Raja Wadding on Saturday reached to meet the families of those who died after drinking spurious liquor. He reached the hospital and inquired about everyone’s well-being. During this, he strongly targeted the Bhagwant Mann government of Punjab. He said that till now many people have died due to drinking spurious liquor. No one else but Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is directly responsible for this.
He said, “CM Bhagwant Mann has not even reached to inquire about the well-being of the family members, even though he was in Bathinda yesterday, but he did not consider it necessary to come to Sangrur and inquire about the well-being of the deceased. Till now ministers Aman Arora and Harpal Cheema have not considered it appropriate to give any kind of statement on this.”
He further said, “What a huge negligence it is on the part of the administration and the government that it has not yet been found out from where this liquor was made? How was it made? How was it supplied? “The government has not been able to gather any information about this yet.”
He said, “Earlier when some people died due to drinking spurious liquor, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had said that he was with the family. He had also asked for a proper investigation by CBI. At the same time, now he wants to ask what the Punjab government has done so far in this matter. We want the Punjab government to investigate this entire matter on a large scale, so that the criminals can be given the harshest punishment.”
Along with this, he also exposed the ongoing irregularities in the hospitals of Punjab. In Punjab, patients are being taken on ambulances instead of ambulances. He further said, “We are with the families of the victims and if they need any kind of assistance, we will provide it.”
