Rajahmundry resident wins Rs. 1.5 crore in chicken races!

Sankranti is here.. Cockfighting is a big deal. This time too, people have not decreased at all.. not lakhs.. but crores of money are being spent on these fights. It seems that crores of rupees have changed hands in the cockfighting organized on the second day of the Sankranti festival in Tadepalligudem, West Godavari district. In these fights held at the famous Venkataramaiah ring, a Rajahmundry resident won one and a half crore rupees.

A huge bet was held between Gudivada Prabhakar and Rajahmundry Ramesh on Thursday. Crores of rupees were staked in this bet. However, Rajahmundry Ramesh won it. With this, he earned Rs. 1.53 crores. Locals are saying that this is the biggest bet held in West Godavari district this year.
