Rajasthan Election Result 2023: Many stalwarts of Congress-BJP lost elections in Rajasthan, know the names
Jaipur: The results of assembly elections are being declared in Rajasthan on Sunday. But the surprising thing is that many stalwarts of BJP and Congress have faced defeat in this election.
These include former state BJP chief Satish Poonia, BJP leader of opposition Rajendra Rathore, Congress leader and Assembly Speaker C.P. Joshi and many ministers of the state.
Sitting MLA Satish Poonia lost the election from Amer to Prashant Sharma of Congress by 9092 votes. Similarly, despite being ahead throughout the day, senior Congress leader R.R. Tiwari lost from Hawa Mahal to BJP’s Balmukund Acharya by a narrow margin of 974 votes.
BJP’s leader of opposition Rajendra Rathod lost from Taranagar to Congress’ Narendra Budania by over 8,000 votes. State minister and Congress leader B.D. Kalla also lost the election from Bikaner West to BJP’s Jethanand Vyas by a margin of over 20,000 votes.
Whereas speaker C.P. Joshi lost from Nathdwara by 7504 votes to BJP’s Vishvaraj Singh Mewar, a member of the erstwhile Mewar royal family. Another state minister Pratap Khachariyawas lost to BJP’s Gopal Sharma by a huge margin of 28,329 votes.
