Rajasthan: Medical Minister approved the proposal in the very first meeting
Jaipur. Rajasthan Medical and Health Minister Gajendra Singh held a meeting of the Medical and Health Department and Medical Education Department at Swasthya Bhavan on Monday. In the very first meeting, he approved the proposal to increase 2713 posts of contractual nurses, female health workers and CHOs advertised in the year 2022 and 2023 under the National Health Mission. Now the proposal for recruitment to a total of 9890 posts will be sent to the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board.
In the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary, Medical and Health, Mrs. Shubhra Singh informed the Medical Minister that in the year 2023, out of the 1588 advertised posts of contractual nurses, 750 posts will be increased to a total of 2338 posts, out of 2058 posts of contractual female health workers, 1000 posts will be increased to a total of 3058. Posts have been made. Also, out of 3531 posts of Community Health Officer (CHO), 963 posts have been increased taking the total to 4494 posts. Thus, instead of 7177 posts advertised earlier, proposals will now be sent to Rajasthan Staff Selection Board for recruitment to 9890 posts. Soon the revised release will be issued by Rajasthan Staff Selection Board.
In the meeting that lasted for about 6 hours, the Medical Minister obtained information from the officials of the Medical and Health Department and Medical Education Department regarding the plans, programs, buildings under construction and other projects of the department. He discussed with the officials about National Health Mission, Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra, Chief Minister Free Medicine and Testing Scheme, Ayushman Arogya Mandir, Pradhan Mantri Jan-Man Program, 108 and 104 Ambulance Service, Ayushman Bharat Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana, HIV AIDS, Food Safety, Drug Control. The Medical Minister said that the Health Department is a department related to public service and public sentiments. Emphasis on strengthening health services in rural areas-
Shri Singh stressed on further strengthening health services in rural areas. He said that doctors and paramedical staff must be present in medical institutions located in rural areas and come on time. It should be ensured that there is adequate availability of health facilities as well as human resources in medical institutions in rural areas.
There is no shortage of medicines in medical institutions, strict action should be taken against adulteration-
Shri Singh said that under the Chief Minister’s Free Medicine Scheme, there should be easy supply of medicines to the medical institutions. There is no shortage of medicines anywhere. Besides, the quality of medicines should also be taken care of. While discussing with officials related to food safety and drug control, he said that adulteration in food items is playing with people’s lives. Ensure strict action against this. To prevent adulteration, samples of food items should be taken regularly and strict action should be taken if found non-standard.
Speed up the establishment and construction of medical colleges –
The Medical Minister said that to ensure access to high level health services, the Central Government has approved a large number of medical colleges in Rajasthan. Their installation and construction work should be expedited so that the common people can be assured of getting their benefits as soon as possible. He also directed to complete the work of other under-construction buildings of medical institutions within the time limit.
