Rajasthan minister’s nephew vandalises hotel, FIR lodged
Jaipur (IANS). Police have registered a complaint against Harshdeep Singh Khachariawas, nephew of state minister Pratap Singh Khachariawas, for vandalizing the County Inn hotel in Jaipur.
Vaishali Nagar police station registered an FIR on Wednesday evening on the complaint of hotel owner Abhimanyu Singh’s father Bhavani Singh.
According to hotel owner Abhimanyu Singh, “On Tuesday late night around 10.30 pm, Harshdeep Singh Khachariawas came to the hotel with some of his friends. During this, Harshdeep and his companions got into an argument with a guest of the hotel. After this the guest went to his room.” . Harshdeep asked the room number of the guest, which the hotel staff refused to disclose keeping in view the privacy of the guest. After this Harshdeep started vandalizing the hotel. The hotel staff informed the police.”
The hotel staff said, “During the vandalism at around 3 am, the guest also entered the lobby. Harshdeep and his accomplices assaulted the hotel guest and staff in the presence of the police. All were drunk. The police arrested the hotel guest and Tried to save the staff. When the police started taking the guest with them to the police station, he was also assaulted outside the hotel. The police took the hotel guest away and left him at a safe place.”
Harshdeep and his accomplices then barged into the server room of the hotel where they had a fight.
Meanwhile, another video of the same incident surfaced on Wednesday evening. In this, a young man named Ankit Sharma said that he had gone to eat with his wife and friend at the hotel, when a person sitting there attacked him without any reason and did obscene acts. The hotel staff could not stop him.
Sharma said, “Harshdeep has nothing to do with this fight. He was sitting at a different table. He came forward to intervene.”
State minister Khachariawas said the case was being politicised, adding that his nephew only helped the victim, who was attacked for no reason.
