Rajiv Gandhi Krishak Sathi Sahayata Yojana Assistance up to Rs 2 lakh in case of dismemberment or death while working as a farmer
Many unprecedented decisions have been taken by the state government with a view to provide economic support to the farmers. Rajiv Gandhi Krishak Sathi Sahayata Yojana is also one such scheme to provide financial help to farmers in times of distress. Through this scheme, financial assistance of up to Rs 2 lakh is given to the farmer in case of accidental dismemberment or death while doing the work of the farmer.
Under the scheme, a provision of Rs 2 lakh has been made in case of death of farmers and agricultural laborers in accidents while doing agricultural work in the state. Similarly, financial assistance of Rs 50,000 is given in case of dismemberment, such as spinal cord fracture, coma due to head injury, amputation of both hands, both legs, both eyes or any one limb. .
More than 11 thousand 500 farmers benefited under the scheme
Agriculture Marketing Department Director Mrs. Pushpa Satyani said that under the scheme, the state government has paid Rs 176 crore 37 lakh 68 thousand to 11 thousand 777 farmers through market committees. Out of which Rs 1381.98 lakh was given to 989 farmers from December 2018 to March 2019, Rs 4303.50 lakh to 2 thousand 981 farmers in the year 2019-20, Rs 3457.10 lakh to 2 thousand 275 farmers in the year 2020-21, year 2021-22 4227.10 lakh to 2 thousand 806 farmers, Rs 3468.80 lakh to 2 thousand 321 farmers in 2022-23 and Rs 799.20 lakh to 405 farmers from April 2023 to May. Mrs. Satyani told that to take advantage of the scheme, farmers can apply through Jan Aadhaar and mobile number on the Raj Kisan Saathi portal.
Dali Bai and Moti Bai’s family got financial support
Dali Bai, a resident of Tehsil Girwa of Udaipur district, told that her husband Veniram died of snake bite in August 2022 while removing weeds from the maize crop in the field. He applied online for the assistance amount in Rajiv Gandhi Krishak Sathi Sahayata Yojana. He has been given a check of Rs 2 lakh by the Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot at the Rajasthan Kisan Mahotsav. Dali Bai expresses many thanks to the Chief Minister for this.
Moti Bai, a resident of Tehsil Sarada of the same district, told that her husband Val Patel died of snake bite in September 2022 while harvesting millet crop in the field. He applied online for the assistance amount in Rajiv Gandhi Krishak Sathi Sahayata Yojana. He has been given a check of Rs 2 lakh by the Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot at the Rajasthan Kisan Mahotsav.
