Ranveer praises his ‘screen idol’ Johnny Depp at Red Sea Film Fest
Mumbai: Renowned Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh was recently bestowed with the esteemed Yusr Award at the Red Sea International Festival, presented by actress Sharon Stone. During his acceptance speech, he paid homage to his “screen idol” Johnny Depp, hailing him as the “master of transformation.”
Expressing his gratitude, Ranveer acknowledged Depp’s influential presence and impact on his career. He stated, “Wow! One of my screen idols is in the house, ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Johnny Depp. My good Sir, I’ve followed your work since Edward Scissorhands and What’s Eating Gilbert Grape. What an honor to be receiving this in your presence.”
He further added, “Thank you for everything that you unknowingly taught me about the craft. Master of transformation, versatility, something that I am inspired by you.”
Ranveer also shared a picture alongside Depp, which was posted by the official Instagram handle of the Red Sea Film Festival.
On the professional front, Ranveer is gearing up for his roles in ‘Singham Again’ and ‘Don 3’.
