Rape of schoolgirl in the field, youth arrested
Balrampur: A case of cruelty to a school girl has come to light in the district. The accused had raped a girl student who was going home from school. As soon as the complaint was received, the police took immediate action and arrested the accused. This case is of Raghunathnagar police station area.
Disclosing this matter, Wadrafnagar SDOP Ramvatar Dhruv said that the police station in Raghunathnagar police station area had received a complaint yesterday evening that a youth blocked the way of three minor girls coming home from school and caught an innocent child. The other girls were chased away from there. After that, the accused took the girl under the cover of standing pigeon pea crop nearby and raped her.
On receiving the complaint about the incident, the police immediately traced the accused, surrounded him and arrested him. Taking action against the accused under POCSO Act and other sections including rape, the court has produced him and sent him to jail.
