Reconstructed NSK statue: Chief Minister to inaugurate it today.

Tamil Nadu: Chief Minister M.K. Stalin will unveil a new statue of Kalaivanar N.S. Krishnan at Kalaivanar Arangam in Chennai on Thursday at 10 AM.
The statue of N.S. Krishnan was shifted to the roadside in 1999 when a flyover was constructed at the G.N. Chetty Road-Thirumalai Pillai Road junction. Kalaivanar N.S. Krishnan’s family had requested the government to reinstall the statue at the same location within the Kalaivanar Arangam complex.
Acceding to this request, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin ordered that the statue be renovated and re-erected at the Kalaivanar Arangam complex in Chennai. Accordingly, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin will inaugurate the new statue, installed at a cost of Rs. 50 lakhs, at the Kalaivanar Arangam complex in Chennai on Thursday.
The event will be attended by ministers, the mayor, Members of Parliament, Members of the Legislative Assembly, the deputy mayor, Kalaivanar N.S. Krishnan’s family, representatives of local government bodies, and senior government officials.
