Recovery of Rs 800, 2 policemen jailed

Bilaspur. In Bilaspur, SP has taken major action against two constables and have sent them to jail in a robbery case. Both the constables caught the farmer with liquor. Then they extorted Rs 800 by blackmailing. On whose complaint the SP has registered a case of robbery against him. The matter is of Ratanpur police station area. Actually, Kartik Ram Netam, resident of village Chumakwan, is a farmer. Last Sunday he had gone to Ranigaon market to buy vegetables. After shopping, he was returning to his village via Kalmitar with the villagers.

During this time, Karthik stopped at a liquor shop to buy liquor and was leaving from there when two uniformed constables came there. Both of them stopped him and searched his bag, from which liquor was found. When asked, Karthik informed about purchasing the liquor for his drinking.

After which the constables started threatening him and started threatening to file a case of illegal liquor and send him to jail. The policemen also threatened to take him to the police station and collected Rs 800 from him. Later the farmer complained about this matter to SP Rajnesh Singh. He filed a case of robbery against both the policemen in Ratanpur police station, after which they were arrested and sent to jail.
