Red Magic 9 Pro and Pro+ launched
Nubia has launched Red Magic 9 Pro and Pro+ gaming smartphones in China. The devices offer the most premium Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset along with 24GB of RAM. This device is a gaming smartphone and is targeted at users who need a smartphone for heavy gaming.
The Red Magic 9 Pro and Pro+ have similar hardware but differ in battery capacity, charging speed, and RAM capacity.
Both the Red Magic 9 Pro and Magic 9 Pro+ get a 6.8-inch AMOLED flat screen which is manufactured by BOE. The resolution is 1116x 2480px resolution while the refresh rate is 120Hz. The front facing camera of the device is 16MP and is integrated below the display. The display offers a peak brightness of 1600 nits and offers 2160Hz PVM dimming. The under-display fingerprint sensor also serves as a heart rate monitor.
Red Magic 9 Pro comes with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256/512GB UFS 4.0 storage. However, the Pro variant gets 16GB/24GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of storage. Both devices get ICE 13 cooling system which covers 10,182mm2. The sophisticated cooling system provides 30 percent better thermal conductivity.
When it comes to camera features, the Magic 9 Pro offers a 50MP main camera (OIS) that is based on Samsung’s GN5 sensor. The ultrawide lens is 50MP. The OS is Red Magic OS 9.0 based on Android 14.
In terms of battery, we get a 6,500 mAh battery with 80W wired charging in the Red Magic Pro 9. However, the Red Magic Pro 9 Pro gets a 5500 mAh battery with 165W fast charging. Both devices have Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, headphone jack, IR blaster etc.

These devices will be available for sale in China from November 28. The company will later launch these devices in international markets.
