Robbery of e-rickshaw in broad daylight, police chased the victim away from the police station
Meerut. On Hapur Road of Lohia Nagar police station area, unknown miscreants injured a young man returning in an e-rickshaw by hitting him with an iron rod and fled after looting the e-rickshaw. The victim reached the police station and complained, but the clerk present at the police station threatened the victim and sent him away. According to the information, Haroon, son of late Wali Mohammad, resident of Shyam Nagar, was going to Hajipur village via Hapur Road in an e-rickshaw on Saturday afternoon when an unknown miscreant forcibly sat in the e-rickshaw and abused the young man.
When the e-rickshaw driver protested, the miscreant beat him up and injured him with an iron rod. The young man became unconscious in a bloody condition. The miscreant fled from the spot after robbing an e-rickshaw. After regaining consciousness, the injured youth reached the police station to lodge a complaint where the clerk threatened the victim and sent him away from the police station. The victim said to complain to the SSP. On the other hand, Lohia Nagar Inspector Krishnapal Singh says that the matter is not in my cognizance, if there is such a case, action will be taken after investigation.
