Robert Vadra celebrated Christmas with street children
New Delhi: Businessman and Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi’s husband Robert Vadra celebrated Christmas with street children and blessed them with gifts.
Dressed in a red jacket and a Santa-like cap, Vadra met children and gave them gifts like jackets, shoes and toys.
Robert Vadra shared a glimpse of it on Facebook and wrote, “Santa with a cause!!”
Merry Christmas celebration with street children. Fulfilled all their demands of jackets, shoes, toys while we enjoyed eating Christmas cake, he wrote in his post.
“They promised not to give away their gifts… Even if they do, they know I will come back to take care of them and hope that I will make them feel loved and cared for and give them joy and happiness . Work for them throughout the year,” he added.
On this occasion, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi wished the people of the country a Merry Christmas.
Congress leader X said on his official social media account, “Merry Christmas! May your hearts be filled with love, your homes be filled with happiness and your life be filled with peace.”
The Congress party posted on Twitter, “The Congress family wishes you all a very Merry Christmas and a season full of love and togetherness. Let us cherish the spirit of unity and compassion this holiday season!” People across the country celebrated Christmas Eve and mass prayers were offered at midnight in various states.
Churches were illuminated and people also burst crackers to celebrate winter festivals in Madhya Pradesh. On the occasion of Christmas, midnight mass was organized at the Sacred Heart Cathedral Catholic Church in Delhi.
Prayers were also held at St. Francis Xavier’s Cathedral in Bengaluru. Christmas is an annual festival celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, celebrated as a religious and cultural event by billions of people around the world on December 25.
