Roja star Madhu messaged Neetu Kapoor after watching Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal
The music album of Ranbir Kapoor starrer film Animal has gained immense popularity. The background score of the film, with instrumental versions of Choti Si Asha and Roja Jaaneman, marking Ranbir’s musical entry, has gone viral on social media. Originally composed by the renowned AR Rahman, the latest rendition was created by Hyderabad-based music band Thriri. Interestingly, the sequence in which Ranbir plays a Sanjay Dutt-like character has enthralled a new fan – none other than Roja (1992) star Madhu Shah. Speaking exclusively to News18 Shosha, Madhu expressed his excitement, noting how the music of his film has resonated for more than three decades. In a recent interview, Madhu shared her experience and said, “I watched Animal immediately after its release and when the sequence came, for a few seconds I did not realize that it was my song. I kept thinking to myself, ‘Something about music sounds very familiar.’ Then I realized that it was Roja’s music. The Roja Jaaneman bit that they have used is the same one where Arvind Swami and my character were dancing in the snow. I was so excited!” He further told that after leaving the theatre, he immediately messaged Ranbir Kapoor’s mother Neetu Kapoor. While getting in touch with Neetu, her first message expressed how much she loved the film and praised Ranbir’s brilliant performance. The actress was pleasantly surprised by the inclusion of Roja’s music in the film and was very pleased with it.
