Romance, crime and thriller in the trailer of ‘The Lady Killer’
Mumbai: Actor Arjun Kapoor and actress Bhumi Padnekar’s upcoming film ‘The Lady Killer’ will see a wonderful blend of romance, crime and mystery. It is based on murder mystery, love, illicit relations.
‘The Lady Killer’ stars Arjun Kapoor as a private investigator who enters a huge mansion. In this fantastic story, the actor meets Bhoomi’s character who looks like she is a housekeeper.
Soon the relationship between the two reaches the extent of sexual relations. The trailer shows scenes of the police investigating a crime, which is related to Arjun and Bhumi.
It contains a very bleak aesthetic that goes along with the noir style of filmmaking that Ajay Bahl is known for. The trailer shows their romance becoming increasingly toxic, as Bhumi’s mentality shows her to be a possessive woman.
Soon the police begin investigating the pair for a crime that possibly points towards some form of murder as the final shot shows the actress wiping blood off the floor with a cloth, squeezing it out and putting it in a bucket Is.
The entire design of the trailer as well as its aesthetics are quite dull. Perhaps the title ‘The Lady Killer’ has been used too literally, as it looks like someone has murdered a woman.
It is able to incorporate a sense of psychological dread, as the trailer does not shy away from showing the film’s graphic erotic scenes.
The trailer also has the same feel as Bahl’s 2013 film ‘BA Pass’, which remains largely the same even today. ‘The Lady Killer’ will be released in theaters on November 3, 2023.
