RTA department tightened the noose on overloaded vehicles
Yamunanagar. In Yamunanagar, RTA is issuing challans to a large number of vehicles for overloading. School managers have also been ordered to keep CCTV cameras in school buses in working condition and take all security measures, otherwise strict action will be taken against them.
Sector RTA in Yamunanagar, Hairatjit Kaur said that in the month of November, challans worth Rs 1 crore 18 lakh were issued for vehicles overloading and going into restricted areas, whereas last year challans worth Rs 96 lakh were issued.
He said that the Superintendent of Police has also been requested to ensure that additional staff is deployed to ensure that vehicles do not enter the city during restricted hours. He told that there is going to be fog in the next few days.
A special campaign is being started in this regard. Under which tractor trolley drivers and representatives of their organization will be called and reflectors will be installed on the vehicles, so that tractor trolleys laden with sugarcane and wood can be seen during fog and accidents can be avoided.
It was also informed that school managers are being given 15 days time to make all kinds of security arrangements in school buses. After this, if any deficiency is found, action will be taken against them. At the same time, instructions have been given to the school management that the CCTV cameras in the buses should be in working condition, there should be first aid boxes and the drivers should be in uniform.
Apart from this, all kinds of security measures should be taken. Strict action will be taken if this is violated. Hairatjit Kaur said that action will be taken against those doing recce of the department. He said that if any departmental employee is found involved in Reiki, he will also not be spared.
