The atmosphere at a wedding at Sri Achal Sahib Gurdwara in Batala turned tense when a woman along with her four children created a ruckus at her lover’s wedding. The woman alleges that the young man had physical relations with her on the pretext of marriage.

After this the young man got married secretly in the Gurudwara without telling me. The woman who carried out this incident is a resident of Batala, her name is Baljinder Kaur. He told that he and Avtar Singh used to work in the same group. Avtaar knew that he was married, but still he proposed to me.

After this we became good friends and then Avtar Singh started visiting her house. He stayed there day and night. After promising to marry her, he had physical relations with her. Avtaar always told her that if he had to go against the family and marry her, I would have done the same.
Police arrested the groom
The woman said that she was in a relationship with him for five years. As soon as information about the disturbance was received, the police reached the spot and pacified the matter. The police took the groom into custody. The police broke off the groom’s marriage. After this, a compromise was reached between the woman who committed the crime and the groom’s family.
