Saudi Airlines flight with 297 passengers catches fire; emergency landing made
PESHAWAR: A Saudi Airlines flight from Riyadh to Peshawar with 297 passengers made an emergency landing instilling panic among passengers. Smoke billowed from Saudi Airlines flight SV 792 while preparing to land, thus making the pilots orchestrate an emergency landing. After the plane landed, the passengers were safely evacuated through the emergency door. The footage has now gone viral on social media.
According to the preliminary report, the cause of the accident was a technical problem during the landing. It is reported that no one was injured. Saudi Airlines said it noticed smoke from a tyre while trying to land. There were 276 passengers and 21 crew members on board.
