Schools in 6 flood affected districts of Delhi to remain closed on Monday and Tuesday
New Delhi (IANS). The Delhi government on Sunday announced that all government or private schools in the six flood-affected districts of the national capital will remain closed on Monday and Tuesday.
This decision was taken by the Directorate of Education. According to the order, this decision is applicable to all institutions in Eastern, North-Eastern, North-Western-A, Northern, Central and South-Eastern districts.
The order also states that wherever possible, online classes should be conducted.
The order said, “In view of the possibility of continuation of flood relief camps in schools in areas bordering the Yamuna river, the affected districts of DOE – Eastern, North-Eastern, North-Western-A, Northern, Central and South-Eastern All schools (Government, Government aided and private recognized) in the State will remain closed for students on 17th and 18th July 2023 (i.e. Monday and Tuesday). Wherever possible, schools may arrange for online classes. The above districts of DOE The head parents of all the schools located in the state will have to inform this effect today itself.
It also said that all schools of all categories in the remaining seven districts, ie North-Western-B, Western-A, Western-B, Southern, South-Western-A, South-West-B and New Delhi will remain open on Monday . ,
It added that the heads of schools in these seven districts are free to run schools in physical mode or hybrid mode (i.e. offline or online) as per the convenience of their students. The heads of such schools will have to inform the parents about their decision well in advance.
“From Wednesday i.e. July 19, schools in all districts of Delhi will function normally,” the order said.
