Scooty driver hits young man, dies

Durg. One youth died in a road accident in the district, while another was seriously injured. The incident took place near village Sikola ITI of Patan block. Here a youth riding a scooter hit two youths riding a bike who were moving ahead. In this accident, one youth died on the spot, while another youth was seriously injured.

According to the information, Lalit Kumar (22 years) and Devendra (20 years), residents of Demar, were going to Tola Ghat on their bike. Meanwhile, near Sikola ITI on Raipur road, a scooty coming from behind hit his bike and his bike collided with a pole on the roadside.

As soon as the bike collided with the pole, Lalit’s right hand was completely separated from the body, while Devendra’s leg also got fractured. On receiving the information, 108 pilot Satish Thakur and EMT Varsha immediately reached the spot and after treating both the injured, they brought them to CHC Patan. Seeing Lalit’s critical condition, the doctors referred him to a higher center for better treatment, where upon reaching the hospital, the doctors declared him dead.
