SDM’s clerk arrested for taking bribe of Rs 20 thousand
Rampur. The Deputy District Magistrate of Tehsil Milak of Rampur district has been arrested by the anti-corruption team red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 20,000. Mohammad Junaid, Deputy Collector, had demanded a bribe of Rs 20,000 from a farmer in the name of converting agricultural land into residential land. The farmer complained about this to Anti Corruption, after that today the farmer reached the tehsil to give the money to SDM’s Peshkar Junaid and as soon as the farmer gave ₹ 20000 bribe to the person, the anti corruption team immediately arrested SDM Peshkar Mohammad Junaid. . However, action is being taken by filing a case on this matter. The anti-corruption team left for Bareilly taking Mohammad Junaid with them. On this matter, Anti Corruption CO Faizal Siddiqui said that a complainant Bhagwat Sharan son of Liladhar village Nipania police station Shahzad Nagar tehsil Milak Rampur had come to us.
He had complained that they are demanding a bribe of Rs 20,000 from us for converting 3360 hectares in our Gata number 582 area into residential areas and I do not want to give it. Gave ₹ 20,000 as bribe to SDM clerk Junaid. Our team had left from here. As soon as he gave ₹20000, the team successfully trapped him. Junaid Khan had asked for Rs 20000. The complainant paid bribe. The case on this matter will be registered in Rampur only. Action is being taken by our team. The same victim farmer and main complainant Bhagwat Sharan said that SDM’s representative Mohammad Junaid had demanded Rs 20,000 to convert his agricultural land into residential land. Today when the money was arranged, I again informed the Anti Corruption and as soon as I gave Rs 20,000 to the SDM’s assistant and there was talk of giving Rs 10,000 later, the Anti Corruption team immediately arrested Mohammad Junaid.
