Second attempt to intrude on Line of Control in Uri sector failed

Srinagar (ANI): A terrorist infiltration attempt along the Line of Control in Uri sector was foiled on November 15. Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police successfully carried out a joint operation named ‘Operation Kali’. However, there could be more terrorist casualties who may be on the other side of the Line of Control. We did not cross the Line of Control,” the Army said. Other seizures include war-like stores including two AK series rifles, two pistols, 4 Chinese hand grenades, ammunition along with medicines, food items, RS 2630 PKR and Pakistan National Identity Card.

The Army said that Operation Kali is a testament to the coordination between security and intelligence agencies in Jammu and Kashmir and is also a symbol of the professionalism, courage, selfless service and valor of the soldiers. The main aspect of this operation is the killing of Bashir Ahmed Malik, one of the two terrorists killed. He was a key player in Pakistan-backed cross-border terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
