Second day of Chief Minister’s tour to East Rajasthan

Jaipur: Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma said that Rajasthan has been struggling with water shortage for years. Therefore, the people of the state are well aware of its importance. In such a situation, the revised Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal Project (Integrated ERCP), which will quench the thirst of Eastern Rajasthan, will play an important role in making the state water-rich.

On Sunday, on the second day of his Eastern Rajasthan tour, Shri Sharma addressed the gratitude and welcome meetings organized in various districts including Sawai Madhopur, Dausa and Tonk. During this, the Chief Minister was given a grand welcome at various places. People welcomed the Chief Minister with great enthusiasm by showering flowers and garlanding him. On this occasion, Shri Sharma said that to make the state prosperous in terms of water, our previous government had started ERCP. But the previous government, while playing politics, tried to stall and divert this very important project for Eastern Rajasthan. With the inspiration of Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, we have started the work of bringing it to fruition soon on the historic tripartite MOU. Its budget has also been increased from Rs 37 thousand crore to Rs 45 thousand crore.

Youth, women and farmer friendly state government

Shri Sharma said that our government is a government of workers, youth, women and farmers. We have started fulfilling the promises of the resolution paper within just two months of tenure. The state government will provide employment to the youth by recruiting 70 thousand government posts. Besides, by increasing their skills, they will be made self-reliant. The Chief Minister said that during the tenure of the previous government, the future of the youth was harmed by leaking the papers of competitive examinations. SIT has been formed to give strict punishment to those who are playing with the future of the youth. If necessary, such cases will also be investigated by CBI. The Chief Minister said that during the tenure of the previous government, mafiosi and miscreants had made Rajasthan their refuge. Gundaraj will no longer be tolerated on this sacred land of power and devotion. Anti Gangster Task Force has been formed to free the state from gang war. Besides, the state government has taken many public welfare decisions like providing gas cylinder for Rs 450 to women of 73 lakh families, additional bonus of Rs 125 on MSP of wheat and increase in the amount of Kisan Samman Nidhi by Rs 2 thousand.

The nation is moving on the path of progress under the able leadership of the Prime Minister.

The Chief Minister said that under the able leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India is rapidly moving towards becoming a developed nation. To free the country from poverty and bring the deprived sections into the mainstream of the society, public welfare schemes like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana are being run. This has brought unprecedented change in the standard of living of the poor. Shri Sharma said that as per the intention of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, through the Vocal for Local campaign, village people are getting employment at the local level. The country is continuously progressing in every sector including defence, finance, energy, transport and infrastructure.

Quick decisions taken with the power of triple engine government

At the same time, to provide water to the Shekhawati region, an agreement was signed between the Centre, Haryana and Rajasthan Government related to Tajewala Head Works, through which Sikar, Churu and Jhunjhunu districts will be able to get Yamuna water and their more than three decade old demand will be fulfilled.
