Section 144 invoked after violent clash in Dhanbad’s Katras, 32 arrested

Dhanbad (IANS). Prohibitory orders under section 144 have been imposed in Chhatabad Kailudih under Katras police station area of Dhanbad district in view of tension between two communities. Police have so far arrested 32 people in connection with the incident of violent confrontation that followed a minor incident of theft on Friday. A woman is also included in these. A large number of police forces have been deployed in the entire area. The situation is currently being told under control.

Let us inform that after the charger of an e-rickshaw was stolen on Friday, people of two communities got involved in a fight between two persons. The fighting started. More than a dozen bombs went off from both sides. Firing and stone pelting also took place. Many houses were attacked. The glasses of some vehicles were broken. During this Vijay Yadav, Rajiv Yadav, Janardan Yadav, Mohammad Shamim Akhtar, Naushar Ansari, Shahnawaz Ansari, Dilshad Ansari, Mohd. Aftab got injured.

After the information of the fight, the police reached the spot and pacified the people. As soon as the police left, the crowd from both the sides once again came face to face. Seeing the situation worsening, additional police force was called from the district headquarters. Several police officers including Rural SP Rishma Ramesham are camping on the spot.
