The Tamil Nadu Victory Party is actively pursuing its own government formation efforts and is also exploring the possibility of support from other parties. It is reported that the party has not yet secured the support of any independent candidate, further complicating the situation. Considering political history, the DMK under Annadurai’s leadership in 1967 and the AIADMK under M.G. Ramachandran’s leadership in 1977 failed to secure a clear majority in Tamil Nadu. However, the current situation is considered different because no party has secured a majority this time. This is being seen as a turning point in the state’s political history.
Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu Victory Party leader Vijay has sent a letter to Governor R.V.R., clarifying his position on government formation. Vijay had previously met with the Governor, where he presented his claim to form the government. It is reported that during this meeting, the Governor advised that the claim to form the government be presented in a manner that ensures clear majority support.
