Senior Citizen Pilgrimage Scheme – 400 senior citizens left for Gangasagar

Four hundred senior citizens of Bikaner division left for Gangasagar under the Senior Citizens Pilgrimage Scheme.
Disaster Management Minister Mr. Govind Ram Meghwal, Chairman of Bhoodan Yagya Board Mr. Laxman Kadwasara and Chairman of Kesh Kala Board Mr. Mahendra Gehlot etc flagged off the train. During this, a festive atmosphere was seen at the railway station. Amidst the beat of drums, the elders going for the pilgrimage were welcomed with garlands by the Devasthan department and the relatives of the pilgrims. Before departure, all the guests including the Disaster Management Minister worshiped the train and wished everyone a successful journey.
The Chief Minister gave a big gift to senior citizens
On this occasion, the Disaster Management Minister said that Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot has given a big gift to the senior citizens of the state in the form of pilgrimage scheme. He said that the State Government respects senior citizens and is committed to ensure all kinds of facilities for them. Kesh Kala Board Chairman said that Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot has increased the self-confidence and respect of seniors through the pilgrimage scheme. The Chairman of the Bhoodan Board said that the elderly are our father. It is our duty to respect them.
District Collector Mr. Bhagwati Prasad Kalal said that about 400 passengers from the four districts of Bikaner division left in the train. About 400 more passengers will join from Jaipur and Bharatpur. The train will reach the destination on 27th June and will come back to Bikaner on 1st July. During the seven-day journey, all arrangements including accommodation, food and drink for the pilgrims will be provided free of cost by the state government.
Passengers expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister-
Atmaram Kherpuria of Suratgarh tehsil of Sriganganagar district, who left for pilgrimage, said that Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot has listened to the thoughts of senior citizens and is getting them to visit Char Dham. On the other hand, Chanda Devi of Sriganganagar and Jamna Devi of Bikaner also expressed their gratitude for this initiative of the state government.
