Sensitivity is waning…

Sensitivity is like jewelery for a human being. A person who has sensitivity looks as if he is adorned with jewellery. In the present times it seems that no one has anything to do with all these things. A young man from Kharora area adjacent to the capital Raipur called and told that he had beaten him badly and in the morning the dead body of that person was found hanging from a tree while both were friends. What was the reason that he was forced to strangle his friend.

Addiction or something else? Due to drug addiction, people are not even afraid of public shame and are even keeping their mutual relations in check. People are not hesitating to kill each other even over small issues. A similar incident took place in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, where the village head (contractor) tortured a mason to death just for asking for wages. There is information that nails were also driven into his feet before killing him. After hitting nails in his feet, he was also shot and his body was hanged from a tree.

In the end, the limit is reached when the domineering village head, the contractor, himself calls the police and tells them that he has killed him and take away the dead body. Just as a stone hearted person who was tortured to death may melt, but the village head’s heart did not melt. Being a village head means being associated with some political party.

Maybe because of political influence and dominance, that laborer was brutally murdered. However, this is the height of sensitivity. This incident, which pierces sensitivities, shows a mirror to the so-called progressive and educated society. Of course, such cases keep coming to light every day in the country, but not just one but dozens of cases coming to the fore every day is definitely confirming the loss of compassion.

On the one hand, there is talk of not making any difference between humans and on the other hand, the reality seems to be something else. When the truth comes out, only insensitivity is visible. The seeds of discrimination, high-low, rich-poor, caste-based discrimination, which have been sown in the mind, make a person commit such shameful acts after years. That’s why there is a need for good values, because the future depends on them.

All these acts can be avoided and change can be brought about only by paying tribute to the discriminatory thinking of our ancestors. Despite all the measures, people do not pay attention to this and commit heinous acts. The state government or the central government should keep the policing in such a tight manner that the morale of the criminals is defeated.
