Sent husband to work, then left child in Anganwadi, woman hanged herself

Raigarh. In Tedudipa, a married woman committed suicide by hanging herself with her dupatta at home. Priya Shukla (25) lived in a rented house in Raigarh with her husband and children. Her husband Pramod Shukla told that Chhath Puja ended on Monday. His wife distributed Prasad after the puja and also went to neighbours’ houses and ate the Prasad. A day before this, the husband had said that he would leave Priya and the children in Prayagraj for two weeks to take care of his ailing father.
His wife was angry.

In the morning, Priya gave her husband breakfast and sent him to work, then dropped the child at Anganwadi. He committed suicide by hanging himself at home. People nearby contacted the young man and informed him that the door of the house was locked from inside. After the husband reached, he opened the door and saw that his wife was hanging. After the information, Jutmil police station registered the case and after Panchnama, sent the body to the district hospital for post-mortem.
