Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Dunky’ will be shown in Rashtrapati Bhavan
New Delhi: Superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s latest release ‘Dunki’ will be screened at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
According to a statement shared by the film’s team, a special screening of ‘Dunki’ has been organized at Rashtrapati Bhavan today.
‘Dunky’, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, focuses on the issue of immigration. Its title is derived from the term “donkey journey”, which refers to the long-winded, often dangerous routes that people around the world take to reach places where they wish to immigrate.
The film, which also stars Vicky Kaushal, Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani, Anil Grover and Vikram Kochhar, released in theaters on December 21 and has been trending on the internet since then. The film received mixed reviews and has so far earned Rs 74.82 crore at the domestic box office.
The film is currently facing competition from Prabhas’ ‘Salaar’ at the box office. ‘Saalar’ has earned Rs 145 crore. Dunky has collected Rs 103.4 crore at the global box office.
‘Dunky’ marks the first collaboration between Shah Rukh and Rajkumar Hirani. This is Shahrukh’s third release of this year after the blockbusters ‘Pathan’ and ‘Jawaan’.
