Shamshabad Temple Youths Spark Outrage by Offering Ganja as Prasad

Ganja created a stir in the premises of Dharmagiri temple in Shamshabad. On the occasion of Mahashivratri, some youths offered ganja as prasad to Lord Shiva and committed a crime. The matter came to light after they not only made a video of themselves offering ganja in front of the god and worshipping him, but also added music to it and posted it as a reel on Instagram. As the video went viral on social media, netizens expressed their anger and tagged the Hyderabad CP and complained to him to take action against the youths who had hurt religious sentiments. However, when the police who rushed to the scene conducted an investigation into the incident, it was found that the youths who committed the crime were from Badangpet. The CP warned that strict action will be taken against those who promote banned substances by posing in such crazy poses for likes on social media and that cases will be registered under strict sections of the law.
