Shaun Marsh announces retirement from all forms of cricket

In recent news, Australian cricketer Shaun Marsh announced his retirement from all formats of international cricket. This comes after Melbourne Renegades failed to qualify through the playoffs in the BBL (Big Bash League) 2023-24.

The last match of Shaun Marsh’s 23-year-long career was on 13 January. He played for the Renegades against the Stars in the Melbourne derby at Docklands Stadium. At the same time, Marsh single-handedly scored 64 runs and won the match for the team.

“I love playing for the Renegades,” Marsh was quoted as saying in an official statement. I have met some great people over the past five years and the friendships I have made will last a lifetime. He also talked about how special his playing group was. He expressed his gratitude to them for being wonderful teammates and even better friends. He also thanks all the people who have supported him throughout his journey.

The official Instagram handle of the Renegades team bid farewell to its star player through a post. The caption on the post read, “Bending at the top of his game. “Shaun Marsh has announced his retirement from professional cricket.”
