Shilpa Shetty brought the message of living life openly for women, read full review of the film
The film Sukhi, directed by Sonal Joshi, is set to release on September 22. Shilpa Shetty, Kusha Kapila, Amit Sadh, Chaitanya Choudhary have played lead roles in the film. This film gives an important message to men as well as women. It works to fill married women with new zeal and enthusiasm to live life.
Sukhi (Shilpa Shetty) is the story of a woman who goes against her family and marries Guru (Chaitanya Choudhary) for love. She used to be very cool in school and college. But she gets so caught up in her responsibilities that she forgets to live life and now her school days seem like a dream.
After becoming a happy housewife, she gets lost in the thoughts of her 15 year old daughter and household responsibilities. But the story takes a twist when Sukhi’s three school friends call her for a reunion in Delhi. But Guru does not want him to go to Delhi, he thinks who will do the household work? But somehow she gathers courage and goes to Delhi and from here the story takes many turns.
The first half of the film is a bit slow, it could have been made faster. The second half is more powerful. Shilpa Shetty and Chaitanya Choudhary have understood and played their respective characters well. Whereas Amit Sadh’s entry is like Shahrukh Khan, he has less screen space in the film but he leaves an impact. Rest of Shilpa’s friends Kusha Kapila and others have done justice to their characters.
There is not much space for songs in the film and the songs that are included are also not particularly memorable. Sonal Joshi has taken charge of the film. His direction is good, but the first half needs to be a little more engaging. Despite this, the film leaves a positive message among the audience. Also, you will be able to connect this film with your life somewhere. This film shows that women never want to give up on their dreams, even if they are married and have children. Overall Sukhi is a good film which is worth watching.
